Area of Application

CONTURA is an extremely flexible and elastic form-pressing cushion that can be inserted in your own standard veneering press. The veneering press thus acquires the functions of a membrane press. With CONTURA, you can coat oblate and beveled panelings or trunk fronts with standard veneers.

maximum thickness of the inserted panels: 16 mm
maximum depth of profiles: 7 mm
ideal hollow profile radius: 100 mm

Fronts beveled on four sides:

maximum thickness of the inserted front piece: 22 mm
minimum radius: 30 mm
maximum curvature depth: 9 mm

Compatible Materials

Work Piece substrates:

Chipboard, plywood, MDF and similar materials

Veneering materials:

Standard veneers ranging from 0,2 to 1,4 mm (aligned with the radii of the profiles), polyester- based laminates, other plastic materials

Glues:

All glues normally used in standard veneering presses.
