Oil level check every 40 h: Oil consumption can be per m³ air = approx. 2 cm³ oil

Oil change plus oil filter: 1st after 100 h, 2nd after 500 h Then every 1000 h - min. 2x per year

Additional dust filter: Cleaning every 40 - 200 h

Gas ballast valve: Cleaning every 1000 h with water and compressed air

Oil separating element: Change every 2000 h including cleaning of the sieve filter plus oil change

Fire hazard caused by a clogged oil separating element: Triggered by a dusty environment and low maintenance. The oil gets very hot and is even more vaporising!

A clogged oil separating element reduces the air suction rate. The pressure drops and more energy is needed.

Remarks


A higher vacuum causes also higher energy costs; this is the reason why dry running vacuum pumps have a pressure of 0.85 - 0.90 mbar relative. This pressure range is optimal for pressing and forming of materials, without having unnecessary high energy costs.
