After seeing our new Competence Center for vacuum technology in the Tabakfabrik for the first time, our business partner Putz Drucktechnik spontaneously organized a cross-technology demonstration for a selected clientele from the advertising industry.

The company Putz brought 3 mm PET G sheets, which can be deformed at relatively low temperatures and can be imprinted very well. The material was imprinted with a swissQprint Nyala3 LED, because here even the standard UV color system already achieves thermoformings without any problems. The motif received a digitally printed white background, because so advertising objects with convincing luminosity can be created.

The shape came from the 3D printer of MASSIVit 3D, which is also marketed in Austria by the company Putz, and which offers literally limitless application possibilities. Especially in the advertising industry, it opens up a wide field of applications, since almost always small and very small quantities are needed here and short delivery times are often decisive for an order.

In order to use only as much material as necessary during thermoforming, Manfred Müller worked with the deep drawing frames provided for this purpose.

The results were impressive as expected. The subsequent lunch was a lively exchange between the entrepreneurs.
