Today we are going to tell you about a special piece of hall furniture which, thanks to a flowing symbiosis of wood and modern materials, is a perfect eye-catcher for entrance areas and which earned Jannik Otte title of a master carpenter.

What did Jannik Otte use to make this unique piece? Vacuum technology, of course.

Intention and vision

White River is a hanging hallway furniture with the ulterior motive of being able to stow away everyday objects quickly so that the hallway is always tidy. But this is not enough. The look, feel and the emotions, which are triggered by the flowing curves and the intended impression of a river, naturally play the central role here.

Implementation of the idea

For this special constellation, meticulous attention was paid to choosing the right materials. Jannik Otte combined well-known materials such as American walnut with modern, new materials such as epoxy resin. For the river look, the inward-facing tree edges were filled in, creating the excitingly designed front from which the piece of furniture owes its name.

Behind the fronts, in the upper area, there is the classic craft in the form of 3 manually dovetailed drawers, which are guided with self-made solid wood pull-outs. In the lower area, the furniture has 3 flaps that are hinged on the lower side and are supported by cable flap holders.

Rounded off perfectly

The body consists of a precise laminated bending, which rounds off the overall concept fluently and allows the same to flow upwards into the solid cover plate. As you can see, with vacuum technology, even large workpieces can be pressed precisely without significant effort and, above all, without a counter-template. A final oil finish not only protects the furniture from everyday influences, but also gives Jannik Otte's masterpiece an elegant, dark look.
