LIGNA 2023
The last LIGNA in Hanover was in 2019. The world has changed since then, more so than any of us could have imagined 4 years ago.
On Monday morning at LIGNA, 9 a.m., nobody knew what to expect. The exhibition area was massively reduced, less than half the exhibition halls were open at all. I still remember the time when the entire site was fully booked and there were waiting lists for exhibitors.
And then it started. Entrepreneurs and carpenters from all over the world came to our booth. The visitors were for example from Mongolia, Costa Rica, Australia, India, etc. The interest in our vacuum technology was enormous.
I was allowed to welcome them together with my dealer from Belgium - Klaas Lecluyse (www.fleetwood.be) - and my customer (!) - Andreas Schützenberger (www.iou-ramps.com). It is something very special and makes me very proud that my customers are so convinced of my vacuum presses that they spend a week with me at the exhibition stand and advise their colleagues from all over the world.
What pleases me the most is that interested parties were able to get an idea of the high-quality engineering. Seeing the massive and exact construction in real life is of course something completely different than in pictures. For everyone else, I've attempted to capture this standout benefit in the video below.
The new, digital master manual was also very well received. We sent the training to many existing customers who visited us, and they now benefit from our combined experience of more than 45 years.
Everyone enjoyed finally having face-to-face conversations again, seeing old friends again and moving far away from the digital world.
Below are a few impressions of the 5 days,
in gratitude for this great fair,
Yours, Ruth Koppenberger
