Columbus customer creates artistic masterpiece
Who doesn't know the perfume bottle of Jean Paul Gaultier, depicting the torso of a woman? The Columbus customer Felipe Guerra and his team recreated it for a promotional campaign in Santiago de Chile using a vacuum press from us.
Since 2019, Felipe Guerra and his team have been working with a Columbus vacuum press, creating many unique pieces. His company specializes in sales furniture and trade shows, with each project being unique.
A particularly beautiful challenge was the launch of the new fragrance by Jean Paul Gaultier in Santiago de Chile. The client was Puig, a Spanish fashion and fragrance company for a presentation in a large shopping center called Parque Arauco. The idea was to create an outstanding photo location that would encourage visitors to take photos, share them on social media, and thus advertise the new fragrance. Women should be able to stand behind the corset, with the background giving the impression that they are wearing the perfume.

For this location, a
replica of the golden corset was needed, with only the bottle serving as a
reference. Felipe Guerra created the sculpture and realized it using the
Columbus vacuum press (Combitherm, predecessor of Pioneer) and a CNC milling
machine. He used a 6 mm thick Staron solid surface panel for the body. After
placing the artificial breasts, the artwork was painted gold.
The advertising
campaign was well-received by visitors to the shopping center, and many
pictures of the artwork were shared.
We thank Felipe Guerra
for the information and the photos, and we look forward to hearing more about
his creative work soon.
