Success through vacuum technology

One thing is already crystal clear — with a vacuum press from Columbus you can manufacture truly extraordinary products which are unparalleled in the world market. It is not uncommon for our customers to win many competitions in their specialist fields as well. Like our customer Josef Öttl, who achieved a great victory at the annually "Heim + Handwerk" in Munich with his product „Chilly“.

With the help of our vacuum technology, Josef Öttl created a creative lounge furniture based on the motto „Möbel zum Abhängen“ (german for „furniture for hanging around“). A product, which was modeled after a sliced chili, which invites to relax or hang around. A clever pun, paired with master craftsmanship and high-quality production technology could convince not only the jury, but also the numerous trade fair visitors. The furniture consists of laminated bended maple and was, as was to be expected, made with a vacuum press from Columbus.
