The Diversity of Applications of a Vacuum Press
Continuous Development in Interior Design
Interior architecture is constantly evolving, and new technologies play a key role in pushing creative boundaries. Clairhout Interieur, based in Menen, has taken a bold step by revolutionizing its design process with the Columbus vacuum press PIONEER featuring a vertical opening. As curved shapes become increasingly popular, this innovative device has significantly expanded our capabilities.
Innovation Through Openness to New Technologies
“Innovation starts with embracing new ideas and technologies,” says Tom Clairhout, the creative force behind Clairhout Interieur. Our passion for bespoke interiors drives us to stay at the forefront of the industry. This commitment is clearly reflected in our recent acquisition of the Columbus vacuum press with a vertical opening system.
The Trend Towards Organic Shapes
Today’s design trends clearly favor organic shapes. “Curves and rounded forms are no longer niche,” Clairhout explains. “These designs are now widely embraced, and we needed to enhance our expertise.” In the past, complex shapes required a lot of time and effort. Manual processes and labor-intensive molds often led to inconsistent results and significant time investment.
Revolution Through the Columbus Vacuum Press
With the Columbus vacuum press, those challenges are a thing of the past. “One push of a button, and we have complete control over the pressing process,” says Clairhout. Whether working with flat surfaces or curved shapes, the press delivers precision and consistency. What used to take hours is now accomplished in a fraction of the time, and always with consistent quality.
The Decision for Columbus
“Our decision to choose Columbus was based on many factors,” Clairhout explains. “Initially, we were looking for a flat press. But when I saw the Columbus vacuum press at a colleague’s workshop, I was immediately convinced.” The versatility in shaping both flat and curved forms, combined with the competitive price, made this innovative technology a clear choice for our future.
Successful Results After Installation
The benefits became apparent shortly after installation. “We are absolutely thrilled with our investment and are already using the press extensively,” says Clairhout. “With the many possibilities it offers, we expect it to be in daily use very soon. The acceleration of our production process and the ease of creating complex shapes at the push of a button have opened up new creative possibilities for us."
