This year, the Edelfurnier initiative once again invited to celebrate, together with numerous interested parties from the woodworking industry, a material that brings out the best of wood. There is talk of veneer. The initiative has set itself the task to give the veneer in particular and the carpentry in general their earned status in this modern world. For this reason, at the beginning of July, it was again possible to listen to presentations and expert interviews on this topic for a whole afternoon, in the machine halls of the company Schachermayer, and even to experience a live demonstration of innovative processing options for veneer.
The internationally successful speaker in marketing matters, Michael Ebeert, discussed in the scope of his presentation, that it is now the time, that carpenters should stop to control their sales arguments over the price, but start to control them instead over a „profile sharpening“ i.e. over the product differentiation. Together with the managing director of Frischeis, he emphasized several times that vacuum technology from Columbus was the ideal tool for this purpose.
The live demonstration regarding the processing possibilities of veneers was of course offered by Columbus and gave carpenters and interested parties an exciting insight into the possibilities of vacuum technology from Columbus. With the help of the low-cost complete system VACUPLUS (predecessor from Pioneer) it was shown how easy veneers, with the help of vacuum technology, can be processed into extraordinary products.
The guests were particularly surprised by the possibility of perfectly seamless veneering with Columbus technology. This and other interesting topics were finally discussed at the culinary end of the evening. Columbus would like to thank the numerous guests, the initiative "Edelelfurnier" as well as the company Schachermayer for the wonderful opportunity.
